Are you tired of fighting over homework? After the PTA meeting on Wednesday, November 11, Dr. Kate Altman, a licensed psychologist and certified school psychologist with expertise in learning and behavioral challenges, will present strategies for motivating kids to do their homework, thereby reducing family conflict and helping children to succeed academically. Her presentation will be followed by a brief question-and-answer period.
Dr. Altman is both a licensed psychologist and a certified school psychologist in the state of Pennsylvania. She completed her psychology doctorate (Psy.D.) at Chestnut Hill College with a concentration in Psychological Assessment. In addition, Dr. Altman obtained her school psychology training at Bryn Mawr College. Dr. Altman has extensive psychological assessment and counseling experience in schools, private practice, and clinics, with particular expertise in assessing and treating children and adolescents with diagnoses like autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, social-emotional/behavioral disorders, and learning disabilities.
